Interview with my Deck: Paulina Tarot
My current favourite deck is the Paulina Tarot. Although it looks, at first glance, very wishy washy, it is in fact a very truthful deck which seems to get straight to the heart of the matter with family issues:
1) How would you describe yourself?
Five of Pentacles
You and I might be feeling a little bit isolated in this amazing, eternal universe. As we sit out under the stars, I wrap my arm around you to keep you close and give you the comfort and support you are so worthy of. I will love you and protect you, and help you whenever you need me.
2) What do you think of me?
XIV – Temperance
You have a Gift, and it’s called a Gift for a reason. You use it to help others when you can, to help them understand the issues underlying their problems, so they can start to clearly see the solution, and seek out their path to healing.
3) What type of readings do you like?
Two of Wands
I am a spiritual deck at heart, and I love to help you move forwards. I can help you choose which path you take, and help you to get past whatever you feel is crossing your way. I will reassure you that whichever you choose, it is the right one.
4) What type of readings do you dislike?
Knight of Cups inverted
People might think I look a bit airy fairy (yes, I heard that) but I am NOT, and I don’t like being kept in a cupboard and brought out for wishy washy readings like does he love me. (If you have to ask, then the answer is no).
5) What is your strength?
III The Empress inverted
I am a strong, nurturing deck, as I mentioned before. If you have issues with your home and family, if you are struggling with your relationships, if your children are flummoxing you; then I can help you. I will teach you how to help them grow through love and nurture.
6) What is your weakness?
Six of Swords inverted
Well, if you want a deck who is unwilling to throw up her hands and walk away, then you have picked the wrong one here! Even though there may be times when you feel you cannot accept the situation as it is, I will help you find a way.
7) What can you teach me?
Two of Cups
Love. Love is the answer. They say that God is Love, and we find both of these within, so if you are looking for the answer, then you need seek no further. Offer the Cup of Love to all those you meet, even those who you don’t like, and your heart will grow, and as you start to Love everyone for being exactly who they are, you will find what your heart desires.
8) What do you need from me?
II The High Priestess
Use me in combination with your wisdom to reach into people’s hearts, and show them what they need to be shown. Again, you have the Gift, the insight to be able to help others; for even though you might not know how, you have the ability to speak to others what they need to hear. You do not always know where what you say comes from; well the spirits are talking through you. Accept this Gift and give thanks for it.
