Formulating your Question

When requesting a tarot reading, bear in mind that “Tarot tells us what we need to know, and once we know, we can change our minds”.

Tarot is NOT a tool for telling fortunes. That is a misunderstanding which does the craft of tarot reading no favours.

Our fortune is not set in stone. Every day, every minute of the day, we make decisions.  And every decision we make helps shape our destiny. Whether we take the left path or the right path determines who we will meet of the path we choose. Wheher we speak to those people determines whether or not we will learn from them.  What we learn from them may help us make our next choice.  And so, life is a series of choices. And we are responsible for our own choices.

But what about when we don’t know what choice to make?  Well, the more we know about each path, the more comfortable we will be with choosing the right path.  But knowing about the path alone isn’t sufficient.  we also need to be familiar with ourselves.  If we know what it is that WE need, then, and only then, can we decide whether the chosen path is right for us. Am I making sense?

So, effectively, what tarot does is teach us what we need to know about ourselves, and about our paths, so that we can choose the best path to fit our needs.

So, when asking tarot questions, please try to keep your questions open, to allow the advice to filter through.

Firstly, avoid Yes / No questions. These are possible, but are largely unhelpful.

By the way, if you have to ask: “Does he love me?”, then the answer is “No”.

However, you could broaden the scope by asking a range of questions to get to the heart of the issue.  For example:

“What is the underlying issue in our relationship?”

“What qualities do we each bring to this relationship?”

“What defect do I need to work on to improve our relationship?”

“What areas of our relationship do we need to work on?”

“What do we need to know to help us move forwards?”

So, we are looking for ways to look deep into our problems in order to find a solution to our problem that we can implement in our lives.  We are trying to make our lives better, in other words.

I hope these guidelines help.  And before you ask your question, please remember to red our ethics too…
